This one first then another one

OK I want to do two posts. One will have my devotions and the other will have my daily musings. I believe that is what I mean. Anyway I'm gonna start with a poem here.

At my side
By Anonymous
Though many times I'm scared and lonely, God is always at my side, I need not fear for God is near, He's my guide.
When I'm scared or tried or tested I know just where to go. To my letter full of love the Bible.
When I'm scared alone and troubled I will call to God in prayer. God's my dad my big protector. He is always by my side.
When I'm happy he is with me. When in praise to him doth sing. He's my God my joy and master. He is always by my side.
When I loose my awful temper and explode at those I love, he's there tho sad. But he's always at my side.
My Lord is with me when I tell of his undying love to those all around me. He is there in joy and woe.
He is there when I'm sobbing broken hearted full of woe. Thank God he's always at my side. My God will protect me from all the devil hurls. He's my strength my shelter and my guide.

Did you like it? It doesn't really sound like a poem but its the meaning that matters.

Now I'm gonna tell you what my devotions is about and also the Bible verses that go with it.

It seems as though my devotions is about being strong and not being swayed when I hear false teachings. The verses are in Colossians 2:6-10 I'm gonna put these " when the Bible verses start and again when they end.

"Colossians 2:6-10
As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him:
Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.
Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.
For in him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily.
And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power."

OK now I'm gonna tell you about my devotional story.
There's this boy and him and his dad went camping. And as usual when they got there they put up a tent. They went fishing and then it started to rain. And they using the sense God gave them went inside the tent. They found that one side of the tent had collapsed. The dad said that they hadn't pounded the stakes in deep enough. That reminded the son about his Sunday school lesson and told his dad about his teacher saying that sometimes they could not pound their spiritual stakes in deep enough and they could get blown away too.
Well I'm gonna go and post my musings.
Katie:)
