Read this song:)

Here's a song to the tune of winter wonderland song. It's called summer wonderland.

"Bike bells ring are ya listening. In the yard grass is growing. A beautiful sight we're happy tonight, walking in a summer wonderland.
in the meadow web can build a scarecrow and pretend that he is parson brown. He'll say are ya married, we'll say no man, but you can do the job when you're in town.
Later on we'll conspire as we dream by the ice cream, to face unafraid the plans that we made, walking in a summer wonderland."

Did ja like it? If so post a comment and let me know.

Long time no post

Hey people :)
We are having a county fair this month so I guess I stopped posting all of a sudden.
I know I haven't been posting my devotions, but don't worry I've still been reading them. And really good books. So anyway, you all know you can post comments so I was wondering if you would all post something about your day in the comments. Well want to know about my day now? Well you asked for. Well you actualy asked for it when you came to my blog so anyway, watch out what you are about to read may suprise you.
I went over to my pastors house because the pastors wives little sister is visiting and so I spent the day with her. We spoke of many things and her lack of imagination was one of them. Other things we talked about was boys, who would laugh first, how hot it was, who she hung out with the Tuesday and Monday, the fair, how good southern tea is (I talked about that), books, Florida and that was about it.
Welp that was about it,
Katie:)
PS I can't spell check so some of these words aren't spelled right.

Greeting and salutaions ( I misspelled it:()

Hey people:)
Oh and Kayden when you read my blog sorry about just starting blogging after you left, I didn't mean too.
Well I don't have much to post about but here is a poem I thought was nice. I forgot about in before.

Trees
By Joyce Kilmer

I think that I shall never see
a poem as lovely as a tree.
A tree who's lovely mouth is pressed,
against the earth's sweet flowing breast;
A tree that looks at God all day;
And lifts her leafy arms to pray;
a tree that may in Summer wear
a nest of robins in her hair;
Upon whose bosom snow has lain
Who intamently lives with rain.
poems are made by people like me,
But only God can make a tree.

Did you like?
Well must go

Songs and verses:)

Hey folk,:)
I'm listening to Unshackled and posting a song and my devotions.

This is the song

' I may never march in the infintry, ride in the calvery, shoot the artilry, I may never zoom o're the enemiy, But I'm in the Lords army. I'm in the Lords army, yes sir, I'm in the Lords army, yes sir. I may never march in the infintry, ride in the calvary, shoot the artilry, I may never zoom o're the enemey, but I'm in the Lords army.'
Want another song?
Okay here ya go.

'My God is so big so strong and so mighty there's nothing my God cannot do. My God is so big so strong and so mighty there's nothing my God cannot do.
The moutians are his, the rivers are his, The stars in the sky are his too. My God is so big so strong and so mighty there's nothing my God cannot do.'

Yes they are both children's songs but I like them anyway.

Here's a prayer for you to read.

'Thank you God for eyes to read your word, ears to hear your calls and the suffering peoples calls. For a heart to hide your word, feet to carry your word to others and a mouth to speak your word. Please help all I do and say to honor you and praise. Thank you for my hands to fold in prayer and mouth to sing your praise. Thank you for the gifts you give from day to day and friends. Thank you for your son so blessed that came to earth to die for me and all my family and friends.
Thank you Lord for all the blessing and more, Please help the others that don't know you and those who do but don't care. Thank you again Lord for all and best your word and son.
In your name I pray with the voice of a child,
Amen.'

You could pray it too if you wanted.
Now for the Bible verses and the story summury.
I think todays is about being a lighthouse to others.

"Matthew 5:13-16
Ye are the salt of the earth:but if the salt have lost its savor, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.
Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.
Let you light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your father in heaven."

Okay theres this boy ( Has there been a story about a girl?)
He has a friend and they are out in a boat and then it becomes stormy and the Christian boy says right out loud "God please help us." Later on his friend says thanks for praying. The Christian boy's dad says that he could be a light house to his friend.

Well now since there's still some time would you like to hear about unshackled?

They are stoys about unsaved people (Some with MAJOR problems) that come to Christ. I love the story's and I'm glad that I don't have to stay up till midnight anymore to hear them.

Well I'm gonna go and post about my day
Katie:)
I've got the joy joy joy joy down in my heart!! :)

Elsie, devotions, and Bible study oh my:)

OK first I will tell you about Elsie Dinsmore in the books I am reading. The books are about, Elsie Dinsmore, Of course. She is a young Christian girl who is motherless and at first her father is away in Europe. She is 8 at the beginning and I think we follow her even when she is a grandmother. She is a very devote Christian and event. when her father tells her to do something on Sunday that she feels in her heart God wouldn't want her to do she doesn't do it. And she loves her father more than anything or anyone else in the world. This led to separation from her father who was not a Christian. He does eventually become a Christian and he and his daughter renew their relationship and then well they walk with Christ together.
Now I will speak of the Bible study.
We got there and we started out with some songs then prayer and then the leader prayed for the lesson. We had our lesson on forgiving and that people don't always agree. Then we prayed one more time to dismiss. Then we snuck into church late and finished listening to Pastor Chad preach about prayer.
Now it's time for my devotions.
It seems as though today's is about nipping temptation in the bud. My verses are found in James 1:12-15
Here goes:)tried
"James 1:12-15
Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.
Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:
But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and is enticed.
Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death."

Now for the summery of the lesson.
There is a boy and his friend. They want some candy so bad that one of the boys gives in to his friend saying to take 'just a little money from his brother'. So he does. He keeps going back and before too long he feels no guilt. His brother sets a trap and catches them. His dad says that he was a good example of temptation. That at first its all not too sure and then the more you do it the the easier it gets. Then before to long you are off on a career of sin.

That's pretty serious.
Well Now I need to go.
Katie:)

YYYAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYY!!!!! :):):)

I get to go to an adults Bible study at the same place AWANA (See previous posts) is. Then I might sneak in at my own church afterward.
As I mentioned before I just can't wait for camp to start. I haven't been there for a whole year. I'm not 11 anymore I'm 12 and this 12 year old me wants to go to camp and soon.
I have less than 30 mins before I need to leave for the Bible study. When I get back if mom will let me have the computer I will tell you about it and possibly post my notes on whatever the lesson is about.
Also I've been reading Elsie Dinsmore books and they are so good. Same as before and if I remember I will tell you more about them but I can't put any of the book on because it is copyrighted.

Devotions:)

Hi Here's a song and my devotions again.

This song is to the tune of 'Do your ears hang low'

If you died to night where would you go? Would you go to heaven where your Savior waits? Would you stay with Jesus for your whole long life? If you died where would you go?
If you died tonight where would you go? Would you go to a land of fire and brimstone? Would you be in constant pain for your whole long life? If you died where would you go?
I would hope to go to my savior for life, not to hell full of pain and suffering. I would want to live with God not without. If you died where would you go?

Did you like it?
Well now I'm gonna post the Bible verses and tell you about the devotional story.
OK I think its about being eager about getting the wisdom of God.
The verses are Proverbs 1:1-7& 20-23
And here they are
"The proverbs of Solomon the son of David, king of Israel;
To know wisdom and instruction; to perceive the words of understanding:
To receive the instruction of wisdom, justice, and judgment, and equity;
To give subtilty to the simple, to the young man knowledge and discretion.
A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels:
To understand a proverb, and the interpretation; the words of the wise and their dark sayings.
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.
Wisdom crieth without; she uttereth her voice in the streets:
she crieth in the chief place of concourse, in the openings of the gates: in the openings of the gates: in the city she uttereth her words saying,
How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? and the scorners delight in their scorning, and the fools hate knowledge?
Turn you at my reproof: behold I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words to you."

The devotional story goes something like this
These boys are working in a garden and they hear the ice cream truck. They ask their grandpa and he says that they could get some ice cream. Then he said that the ice cream reminded him allot of the Bible verses I just posted. He said it called them just like wisdom, except wisdom is allot better. His grandsons asked how they could get wisdom. Their grandpa said to read the Bible.

Well that was my devotions
Katie:)
PS. My Bible is KJV so yeahhh.....

Morning

Good morning I just got up a little bit ago and have decided to post on nothing in particular. Well unless you call me telling you all about camp meeting nothing. I meant nothing I did.
Well camp usually starts on a Friday and we have supper and then the night services. Then the next morning is a prayer meeting thing and then breakfast and a Bible study. After that we have the morning service and the kids and teens service all at the same time. I get to be in the teen class this year. Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyy!!!!!!!! Then we have lunch. Then we let our food digest just in time for the next service. After that we have about an hour or 2 till supper. After supper we have our special service. After that service we have just enough time to move if we want and then we have our night service. After that we go to bed. Then next morning we do it all over again.
I might have gotten a few things wrong about that, but hey I haven't been there for like a whole year.
Well I've got to go do some other stuff.
Katie:)

Here is what I did

What I did was wake up go with Mom and Aunt Melody to buy stuff then we came back I read and the I went to the pool then some other places.
Did that sound busy?
Oh I almost forgot when I was at the pool I managed to get the diving sticks and rings from the 5 foot.
Well that was it
Katie:)

This one first then another one

OK I want to do two posts. One will have my devotions and the other will have my daily musings. I believe that is what I mean. Anyway I'm gonna start with a poem here.

At my side
By Anonymous
Though many times I'm scared and lonely, God is always at my side, I need not fear for God is near, He's my guide.
When I'm scared or tried or tested I know just where to go. To my letter full of love the Bible.
When I'm scared alone and troubled I will call to God in prayer. God's my dad my big protector. He is always by my side.
When I'm happy he is with me. When in praise to him doth sing. He's my God my joy and master. He is always by my side.
When I loose my awful temper and explode at those I love, he's there tho sad. But he's always at my side.
My Lord is with me when I tell of his undying love to those all around me. He is there in joy and woe.
He is there when I'm sobbing broken hearted full of woe. Thank God he's always at my side. My God will protect me from all the devil hurls. He's my strength my shelter and my guide.

Did you like it? It doesn't really sound like a poem but its the meaning that matters.

Now I'm gonna tell you what my devotions is about and also the Bible verses that go with it.

It seems as though my devotions is about being strong and not being swayed when I hear false teachings. The verses are in Colossians 2:6-10 I'm gonna put these " when the Bible verses start and again when they end.

"Colossians 2:6-10
As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him:
Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.
Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.
For in him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily.
And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power."

OK now I'm gonna tell you about my devotional story.
There's this boy and him and his dad went camping. And as usual when they got there they put up a tent. They went fishing and then it started to rain. And they using the sense God gave them went inside the tent. They found that one side of the tent had collapsed. The dad said that they hadn't pounded the stakes in deep enough. That reminded the son about his Sunday school lesson and told his dad about his teacher saying that sometimes they could not pound their spiritual stakes in deep enough and they could get blown away too.
Well I'm gonna go and post my musings.
Katie:)

Sunday, July 18, 2010

Alright then here is a post :)

I got a phone call from a boy yesterday!!!!!!!! It was Kayden saying he got my letter and telling me about some of the stuff he did at camp. I think he did some pretty cool stuff. He said he got to the top of a wall that was about 30' high and rang the bell at the top. I would have been scared and come down like right away.
I think I want to be a mission mom when I grow up. You know like the soccer moms and the such. I want to mission in Africa. I'd better start learning about Africa then. I already knew I wanted to be a mom so I want to be a mission mom (I think I already said that.)
If you read my blog could you leave a comment to let me know that please? Thank you:) It's easier to blog when you know people read your blog. I know at least one person does. Kayden and I think some of my family, but anyway.....
I can hardly wait for Camp meeting. I love camp meeting. I get to listen to the singspration and see people I like never get to see and they have good food and on the whole it fun and we learn about God. The bad part is that to stay you have to have an adult and I don't have an adult. At least we can go even when we don't stay. I might take my camera and take some pics and post them on here.
Whelp I've got to go
Katie:)

WAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!

Shall I explain my tears? I failed swim lessons AGAIN!!!!!!!! I wasn't the only one in that class that failed. I fact only one of us passed. I think it was because of the breaststroke. Then I got it today AFTER I needed to have it done. Sometimes I annoy myself. I told my adult friend Liz that I had failed and she said that Chris, my swim teacher, had been bragging on me. Imagine how surprised I was. VERY!!!!!
Kayden is gone at another camp and his cousins for three weeks and I got to write him a letter on Monday. Norma helped and wrote part of the letter I didn't write it all. I said if he had time to please write back. If he's heard of a joke I might get a letter that says this
Hi Katie,
Back.
Kayden
What do you think :p. You know I don't see why this ( :p ) is a stuck out tongue. It looks more like someone with one tooth.
Kayden might get to come to camp meeting with me. Yaaaaaayy:)
We might have to go everyday though instead of stay, because you need an adult to stay the night. But Aunt Becca and Norma might be staying so we might be able to stay with them. The girls in a room and the boy in a room.
Well got to go,
Katie:):):)

I failed:(

I failed my swim lessons but the swim instructor said he would let me take the next session for free. I was having allot of trouble with the breaststroke, that's why I didn't pass.
Kayden tried to make a blog but it wouldn't let him so if mom will let him he might post some stuff on here.
Kayden went to camp on Monday but I haven't been bored. I think this is the busiest summer I've ever had. Swimming lessons and then practice when the pool opens, people at my house and stuff. I've had two VBS's other stuff that only close friends and some family would know what I mean. I also am doing the summer reading program from two library's. The one in town and the one at a town close to us. The one here I get paid 20 cents each book I read. The other one I make a thing saying how many books I'm gonna read and then I have to read them all. At the one at Parsons I had a choice to be in the teen group and read 6 books from the teen section,or be in the kids section and read how ever many books I want from wherever I want. When the lady told me I'm just like "Six only six?" She thought I was going to choose the teen but six books isn't quite enough. I like to read and the library in Parsons has more books in the kids section then the one here in town.
By the way my computer is fixed.
Type at you later
Katie:)
